The Elk Fire started in the Bighorn Mountains on September 27, 2024 and continued burning for three weeks.  These photos are the aftermath of the fire in photos taken on November 13th on a drive up highway 14 to Burgess pass.  Most of the destruction occurred on the east face of the mountain near Dayton, WY.
